The Stockholm Sustainability Map, or “Hållbara kartan” in Swedish, highlights innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions around Sweden’s capital. These kinds of projects are not always apparent from the outside, but now citizens can visit and learn about them in a virtual world.
As an international city, this project required multi-language support. This was cleverly accomplished by setting up each Group to be home to identical content in a different language — Swedish and English. Each language group contains Layers which function as categories, to help visitors filter and find specific types of projects.
“Hållbara kartan” also makes use of OpenCities Planner’s Search feature. By clicking the spyglass in the top right corner, a visitor is able to type a street or address in order to easily fly to different areas and learn about local sustainable solutions.
